Case Manager - President
Hey, I'm Brianna, the founder of Guiding Paws and People. As an Army veteran and someone deeply passionate about helping the homeless, at-risk youth, and families in crisis, I’ve dedicated my life to providing support for those in need. Growing up in the foster care system and experiencing various traumas firsthand has fueled my commitment to this mission.
When I was a child, a social worker changed my life. Because of her, I am who I am today. Her compassion and dedication gave me the chance to break generational cycles and build a new path, not just for myself, but for those who came after me.
Today, my husband and I live in Killeen, TX, where we care for 20 dogs, 2 horses, 2 pigs, a guinea pig, and my 5 siblings! We understand how deeply pets are part of the family, which is why we’re dedicated to keeping families and their animals together during life’s toughest moments.
My background in social work has equipped me with the tools to build Guiding Paws and People, a place where people in crisis can find compassionate support and the resources they need to care for themselves and their pets.
Director of Marketing - Treasurer
Hi, I am Stephanie! After studying mathematics in college, I’ve spent my time raising my two wonderful children with my husband and working to create a stable, secure home for them. Having moved around a lot as a child, I know firsthand how stressful it can be to move into different homes, often living out of suitcases, and changing schools constantly. Frequent moves during childhood aren’t just inconvenient, they can be deeply traumatic. Constantly leaving behind schools, friends, and routines can lead to anxiety, emotional instability, and a lost sense of belonging. That’s why I’m so passionate about building stability for my family and helping other families find the same sense of security.
I’ve always loved hospitality and supporting others, and one day I hope to open my own flower shop. Currently, I live in California, working remotely with Guiding Paws and People. I know how hard it can be to want to have your pet with you but not be able to, my furry family member is temporarily living with my sister due to landlord restrictions. This is one of the reasons why I’m committed to making sure families can stay together with their pets, even during tough times.
Case Manager - Group Facilitator
Hi, I’m Tina! I’m a Case Manager with Guiding Paws and People, and I bring not only my certifications in mental health and social work, but also my Associate’s degree and over 20 years of lived experience in recovery and life’s traumas. As someone who’s walked through addiction and come out the other side, I’m passionate about being a light for others on their own journey.
My faith is a huge part of who I am, and I truly believe in meeting people with love, grace, and a whole lot of laughter. Whether I’m offering support during a crisis or simply being a listening ear, my goal is always to help people feel heard, safe, and supported.
I hold my LCDC-I and have a deep passion for helping individuals in recovery rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence. I live in Texas and love being part of the GP&P family. If we ever cross paths, just know, I’ll probably make you laugh until your sides hurt and remind you that it’s never too late to start again.
You can find me in Gatesville, even on my days off, serving the community and sharing whispers of hope wherever they’re needed. This work is my heart, and I will never stop.
